Phoebe Tsang & John Riegert
Phoebe Tsang is British-Canadian poet, short story writer, librettist and multidisciplinary artist based in Toronto. She is the author of the full-length poetry collection Contents of a Mermaid’s Purse (Tightrope Books, 2009), and her poetry and fiction has been published in anthologies and journals including the Asia Literary Review and the Literary Review of Canada. She was long-listed for the 2014 Bristol Short Story Prize, and short-listed for the Matrix Lit POP Awards in 2016. She has been awarded numerous grants from the Toronto, Ontario, Manitoba and Canada arts councils.
John Riegert is a Pittsburgh-based conceptual artist, and an alumnus of the Carnegie Mellon School of Design. Riegert’s practice includes drawing, photography, photo illustration, performance, installation and writing. His work has been shown at galleries across North America including The Andy Warhol Museum and the Mattress Factory (Pittsburgh). In 2016, Riegert was the subject of John Riegert, a group show presented by Brett Yaskoat Space Gallery (Pittsburgh). The show featured Riegert’s works alongside portraits of Riegert by 252 artists. Riegert performed the roles of docent and artist-in-residence for the duration of the show.
